looking for guys to play some musicposted: November 19, 2009, 07:29 PM

Still looking for band members. Me, guitarist/vocals, looking for bass, drums, lead guitar, and keys, and need most, if not all, to at least be able to sing harmony vocals and preferably lead vocals also. Looking for older guys 40+ even 50+ is fine. Will be playing Country/Classic Rock/and maybe some blues/rock. DO NOT WANT younger guys wanting to set the world on fire, I'm looking for guys with a day job and not in a hurry. We will play gigs, but only when the band is ready and we decide we're ready. We will probably gig only a couple of times a month at most, so if you're looking to play more than that, I'm not looking for you. No Hired guns, only group members wanted. I don't care if it takes months to get ready, I'm not in a hurry either. I've done the full time musician thing and not interested in doing that again, unless the conditions were perfect.
I have rehearsal space, PA, Lights, and Trailer to haul it all. Now just need the GOOD FRIENDS to make the music... I've tried to make this post as clear as possible... I'm not dissing any age group or any group of musicians, just listing what I'm looking for... Thanks for taking time to read this novel!!! LOL do not reply to this unless you read the whole message!!!! Mark www.markabarnhill.com www.myspace.com/markbarnhill www.facebook.com/markbarnhill • Location: Nashville/Priest Lake

“New York Guitar Guru” — The Village Voice
Thank you for visiting my guitar lesson advertisement. Finding an interesting, fun, educated, and a properly qualified, guitar teacher is important. I started teaching in 1973 as the Syracuse University referral guitar instructor when I was a student in their music program, I now teach a few hours each week because I enjoy it. Whether you need to improve your soloing, right hand technique, learn more theory, need to work on sounds, or just want to develop new styles of playing I offer the skills required of professional guitarists who want to play past the local club level. You don’t need to read music unless you want to, you don’t need to read charts unless you want to, and you don’t need to know the Nashville Number System unless you want to. You only need a willingness to improve your skills or learn new ones. MY EXPERIENCE AS A RECOGNIZED PROFESSIONAL MUSICIAN AND EDUCATOR CAN BE SUMMED UP VERY SIMPLY: Performing and recording credits as guitarist and musical director with 38 Gold and Platinum award winning household name rock, r&b, and blues musical artists ranging from Paul Schaffer to Joe Cocker headlining everywhere from Entertainment Tonight to VH-1 to Madison Square Garden to PBS. You probably own cd,vinyl, dvd,and video recordings that I am on. Doctorate Four years traditional music school (Classical Guitar Performance: Syracuse University, I was also the referral guitar instructor for non-majors 1973-1976) Special Studies Program at Berklee College of Music, and private lessons with top jazz guitarists including Sal Salvador and Jack Wilkins (not to mention what I learned from my high school classmate and classical guitarist Elliot Fisk). Full-time Professional Player (telephone to ask where you can come see me perform any week, where I do sessions, find out what cds and videos to purchase at FYE or your local music store). Feel free to visit me at...................... www.joeysixstrings.com I have taught at major Universities and colleges including the State University of New York, Syracuse University, and Volunteer State Community College, including several Music Industry courses when my schedule permitted. Professional Bassist Availableposted: November 5, 2009, 09:00 PM

I am currently available for gigs, tours, and any session work. I am based out of Nashville - and I'm looking to get involved with some new established projects. I have over a decade of experience playing the electric bass. I have also studied and performed with world-renowned artists/musicians.
Other than playing bass (which is my first instrument of choice) - I also play electric/acoustic guitar, piano, percussion, and harmonica. I would like to get with artists/musicians that have some original music ready to play - and that have some gigs, tours, and sessions in their future. I am also a singer/songwriter - so, I can sing lead/harmonies if needed. I can play any genre. Anything goes! Rock, Funk, R&B, Country, Blues, Alternative...etc. I am a solid bassist with a lot of performance experience. I also have my BA in Music/Bass Performance. AND - I have great touring equipment and basses. Please check out my website to listen to my original music (which I am playing bass on) - to get an idea of my vocal/bass performance. www.amandamccoy.com I will post my bio below to give you an idea of who I've worked with and what I've done. Thanks! BIO: Amanda performed at the Heritage Music BluesFest (Wheeling, WV) 2008 – as both a solo acoustic artist and bassist for The Catch Blues Band. Amanda and The Catch Blues Band combined forces to perform a smokin’ hot set as the opening act for blues legend Johnny Winter. As a bassist, Amanda has performed and studied with many world-renowned musicians – the list reads like a who’s who of the music industry, and includes Kenny Aronoff, Victor Wooten, Pandel Collaros, Steve Bailey, Mike Pope, Roger Hoard, Howard Levy, Frank Gambale, Tristen Smith, Brandon Barnes, Chad Smith, Mike Roeder, Zack Wiesinger and Molly Pauken. Amanda has developed a solid, funky, and soulful style that keeps her audience at the edge of their seat – anxiously awaiting her next “soul-shaking” bassline. After auditioning in 2007, Amanda was among 60 bassists internationally selected to attend Bass At The Beach, a five-day conference for serious bass guitarists. Here she met world-renowned drummer Kenny Aronoff – who became a major influence and dear friend. “When I met Amanda at Bass At The Beach – I was impressed with her upbeat, and vivacious personality combined with a down to earth sensibility. When I played with her, I told her that I loved her feel, enthusiasm and exciting vibe when she played the bass. She rocks with an R&B feel.” –Kenny Aronoff Amanda started playing the guitar at age three – and started playing bass shortly thereafter. Coming from a very musical family, Amanda’s parents played a major role in shaping her style and love of music. At the age of nine her Father taught her a simple blues progression. From that moment forward – Amanda has never looked back. Amanda’s experience and training at the hands of skilled performer/pedagogues such as Victor Wooten and Kenny Aronoff have imbued her with a sense of professionalism that is lacking in most folks her age. Her interest in the music of the African-American blues masters has made her expert in the performance of blues, R&B, and rock musics. Her formal training and experience has provided her with reading skills that allow her to cover the gamut from jazz to musical theater. Amanda has mastered a variety of musical genres and equipped herself with the tools appropriate to tackle any musical style. Her solid, funky, and soulful bass playing just adds another dimension to her prodigious guitar, piano, and singing abilities. When Amanda McCoy takes the stage, her musicianship and presence are both guaranteed to knock you off your feet. Amanda graduated in 2009 from Bethany College with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Music – primarily focusing on bass guitar performance. “In spite of her youth, she proved to be a talented and strong individual whose soul runs deep blue.” – BJFM / Blues Triangle Update • Location: Nashville

I am simply looking for a music partner, someone that likes to sing, play and write. I am a singer, blues, soul, country and some rock and roll influence and that is mostly all I can do.
I am not looking for someone with the same influences but someone with appreciation, respect and carries their own style. If interested please reply to songsfromthekitchen@gmail.com. • Location: Nashville
