Welcome to "A Friend of James" a faith-based program designed to provide respite for families that have a child or family member that requires significant care due to a chronic illness or disability. Since research shows that between 80% to 90% of families that have a family member with a disability, starting a respite-care ministry in your church offers opportunities for you to reach out to families in your community that need you the most.
In the 3 hour training at your facility you will learn: - Learn the special circumstances that families experience with constant caregiving - Gain an understanding of what "respite is and how you can start a cutting edge program for your church - Learn how to manage behavior concerns and the unique gifts that children can bring your church - Learn how to eliminate physical and attitudinal barriers about people with disabilities - Learn in a fun and interactive environment Normally $250.00 that includes workbooks • Location: Brentwood
