The Center for the Arts dinner theater production of Southern Fried Murder is on sale now and selling fast. This is just a reminder that tickets for Southern Fried Murder will NOT be available for purchase at the door and season passes are not valid for this event. Patrons are encouraged to pre-select their table (listed below) when purchasing their tickets. Southern Fried Murder by Billy St. John takes place in New Orleans, Louisiana. Way down south in Dixie, there’s something rotten in the cotton! Wealthy family matriarch Magnolia Capote has summoned her kith and kin to dinner in a fancy restaurant to discuss her will. But when Mrs. Capote is killed, mayhem ensues and her possible heirs become involved in a treasure hunt to interpret the encrypted will and collect the one hundred thousand dollar advance. The audience may participate in solving the mystery with a special “prize” awarded to the first person to discover the secret hiding place of the will. This delightful comedy will play at The Center for the Arts in Murfreesboro opening on Friday evening, October 30, 2009 at 6:30 pm. Other performances are Saturday evening, October 31 at 6:30 pm, Friday evening, November 6 at 6:30 pm, Saturday evening, November 7 at 6:30 pm, Friday evening, November 13, at 6:30 pm, and Saturday evening, November 14 at 6:30 pm. A sit down dinner sponsored by Outback Steakhouse and dessert by Scott Trover will be served by the actors.
